Dogs For Life turns lives around by providing independence and self-reliance for people who need task-trained service and hearing dogs.
Dogs For Life is certified by Assistance Dogs International, the accreditation body for organizations training service dogs and is one of five service dog certifying organizations in Florida recognized by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
Dogs For Life began its first formal veteran dog training program in 2014, when there was a 50 percent jump in inquiries for the program. Many of those inquiring were veterans referred by Assistance Dogs International and Veterans Affairs.
